Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy covers the Website Analyser website (anlayse.geniuscodelab.com) and the Website Analyser Chrome extension, both run by GeniusCodeLab. Website Analyser audits a website's sales funnel and conversion setup and turns it into a report.
What the extension collects, and when
The extension does nothing in the background. When you click Analyse on a website, it:
- asks your permission to access that one website (you can refuse);
- opens a few of that website's pages in the same tab, such as the homepage, a collection, product and cart page for an online store, or the services, about and contact pages for a business site, and then returns the tab to the page you started on;
- reads each page's HTML and visible text, page-load timings (such as load time and layout shift), and the website's public product feeds and sitemap;
- takes screenshots of those pages.
This website content is sent to our analyser at anlayse.geniuscodelab.com, which scores it and creates your report. The extension does not collect your name, email, browsing history, keystrokes, form entries, passwords or cookies, and it does not read pages you haven't asked it to analyse.
Note: screenshots show the page as it looks in your browser. If you're signed in to the website you analyse, details such as your account name or cart contents may appear in them. To avoid this, sign out or use a window where you aren't signed in before you analyse a website.
What is stored on your device
The extension keeps the status of your last analyses (the report ID, website address and score summary) in Chrome's local extension storage so the popup can show them. Click Clear in the popup, or remove the extension, to delete it.
Reports
Each report, including its screenshots, is saved on our hosting provider (Vercel) under a random link. Anyone who has the link can open the report, so share it only with people you trust. Reports aren't listed or indexed anywhere. To have a report deleted, email us with its link.
Using the website
If you analyse a website from the URL box on our website, our server fetches that website's public pages itself. The website uses Google Analytics to count visits and may show Google AdSense ads, and both use cookies. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running.
How we use data
- We use the data the extension sends only to create and show your report.
- We don't sell or rent it, and we don't use it for advertising or to decide creditworthiness.
- We don't share it with third parties, except the hosting provider that stores it for us.
The use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children
Website Analyser is a business tool and isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
